Class Information

Daven has taught ‘for credit’ studio art/watercolor classes in the College of Fine Art at the University of Missouri Saint Louis.  He teaches day oil and watercolor classes six days a week in his studio in the heart of St. Louis. The studio is at  4400 Lindell Blvd, Suite 23N  St. Louis, MO  63108. It is in THE VIEW building directly across from the Basilica.  He also teaches two and three day workshops regularly through-out the country.

His classes are intended to teach the participating artists the compositional, drawing and painting skills needed to successfully paint a fully developed and capably painted work that captures the ‘vision’ of the artist.​

​Class Schedule

A few things to note about my classes.  

Beginners in watercolor and oil may step into class at any time.  Beginners in watercolor do not have to bring any materials to the first two classes.  Everything needed is provided.  For oil, a beginning materials list will be provided.
If you are unable to attend for any reason, classes can be made up at any time. Classes need not be continuous.

Students may leave their materials in the studio between classes. The studio is fully equipped. Each student has his/her own work table or easel, water container, hair dryer, etc.
Classes are held daily generally from 10 or 11 am to 1 or 2 pm. ​Other times as agreed.

The fee for watercolor classes is $200  - about 20 hours of instruction - and $225 for about 20 hours of oil instruction.
